I am an introvert.

I am happy with this personality.

I urge for friendly and welcoming treatment, but at the same time, I am in fear of being rejected.

Rejection has been the biggest challenge of my growth.

When I was still a kid, I was rejected by other kids for some reasons I did not comprehend. I stopped engaging with them.

Subconsciously I believed that I was not welcome by other kids.

I did not know that. But I was deeply impacted by this belief.

As I grew up, I avoided any opportunity to be rejected by others.

I only connected with people who approached me first.

I would not reach out to make friends first.

This habit was built up so strong like a foundation.

My biggest fear of being rejected became the obstacle of my personal growth.

It stopped me from promotion at work. It stopped me from having healthy relationships.

I became very defensive when people rejected my opinions.

Over the years, I have tried and learnt again and again how to overcome the fear of rejection.
